Canon EOS 1000F is a 35 mm photography device that doesn?t have any megapixels, but can use whichever EF lenses available on the market. It is also equipped with a built-in flash and light plastic hull. This significantly improves the quality of the images.
This camera was actually part of a series which was introduced at the end of the 20th century. They are SLR cameras that are relatively cheap yet, offers complete automation. Nevertheless, this is the last model which uses pentaprisms in the lenses. Although this is actually designed for beginners, this device offers professional quality images for the users.
If you compare this model to modern photography devices, it will seem quite simple and basic. It has a single AF point (which means that the moment it encompasses the object), it will not refocus. The picture will be taken only when the focus is set or if you do it manually. However, it has a zone metering system which provides good quality images when the exposure is set on dark objects, or objects in dark ambience. Although it is not the highest possible, it still gives you a good quality image.

Full Auto option
: is the easiest one. You just let the camera do the job and it defines whether to switch between single AF or AI servo mode, depending on whether the device senses a movement or not. It also evaluates the metering at which the image should be captured.
Portrait mode - allows you to take head and shoulder photos of people. It can automatically blur the background so that the face becomes sharper and stand out.
Landscape mode - gives you the opportunity to take amazing still life pictures because it automatically adjusts the aperture to capture wide field depth. If you want to photograph images that are minimal, this is the option you should use.
Close up properties ? can be use when you attach a lens which is able to do close-up shots.
Captures fast moving objects - Although this is a vintage model, but it can clearly take photos of running vehicles, people walking in the streets, and animals. The metering is carefully evaluated and AI servo AF is use to eliminate blurring.
The device has a constant internal memory which prevents the loss of any data. Even if you do not install any batteries, everything will stay safe inside.
Quick reminder:
The most unpleasant thing that can happen while photographing the most exciting moment at an event is the lost of battery. With that said, you have to check the battery level of your device once in a while. It will only take a few seconds since the camera has 2CR5 lithium battery and the level of exhaustion is shown on the LCD display (full, almost dead and empty). If the indicator of the battery blinks, this means that the battery has to be changed or that the camera has a problem.
If you don?t pay enough attention to the indicator and the camera goes down all of a sudden, do not worry that any of the information will be lost because you change the batteries. The data will be stored automatically.
Thus, even though the model is old, it is the optimal option for beginners or people that are not really enthusiastic on modern options of DSLR.
